This is a contract to hire position. Reporting to the Benefits Director, the Benefits Manager will be responsible for managing the benefits department members and providing guidance to ensure the benefit plans are administered in compliance with federal laws and regulations. Responsible for overseeing the department day to day activities associated with all Retirement and Health and Welfare programs including the medical, dental, life insurance, and disability programs.
Working closely with the Benefits Director, you will support the budget process for benefit programs; design and implement communication and education programs. Duties also include regular interaction with retirement plan vendor and organization's employees to facilitate the retirement process.
Qualifications
Required Experience: Provide management of the Benefits department Possess excellent communication skills and has current experience managing employee benefits programs company-wide. Familiarity with HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA and other Federal laws and regulations pertaining to benefits. Possess experience managing entire company benefit program.
Must be able to effectively develop and present to Senior Management changes and updates to existing programs as well as make recommendations for additional programs. Possess highly developed analytical skills. Possess strong HRIS reporting skills. Must have fundamental knowledge of employee relations practices.
Desired Experience: PHR or CEBS Certification
